We are so sad to say that we are nearing the end of our summer sailing program. With only two weeks left, the instructors are working hard to squeeze as many fun memories into the next 9 days!
Movie night tonight!!!! Join us at the club at 6:30 pm tonight to watch a movie. The kids have submitted their votes on what they want to watch, so one of the movies they chose will be played tonight! The movie costs a dollar, and remember. To bring some extra change for candy as well as a reusable cup for juice. The instructors have also submitted their choices for a super scary second movie. Join us if you’re 13 or older and bring another dollar.
Speaking of spooky, this Wednesday’s Fun Day is HALLOWEEN. There will be candy (of course) as well as pizza lunch! Club will end at 1 pm as opposed to 12:30. Come dressed in your best Halloween costume (a pirate would be fitting)!! We can’t wait to see what all the kids come up with for our first ever Halloween fun day, and the instructors are very excited to bring this new idea to fruition!!!!
Friday Night Dance!!!!! Our second last SLSC dance of the summer 🙁 So we hope everyone goes ALLLLLL OUT!!!!! The backshedders have started playing this awesome new game where they keep the dance theme a secret until a few days before. All the more fun for parents who are in charge of costume planning … We will update with the dance theme ASAP on the calendar as well as on Insta! As per usual, the dance starts at 7pm and ends at 9pm. It costs $2 and remember to bring some extra change for pop and candy!!! Can’t wait to see you all there!
Sunday Afts. We have been particularly unlucky this summer with our Sunday weather forecasts. Either no wind, too much wind, raining etc. We are giving it one last go. Sunday Afts this Sunday!!! We have to give the trophy to somebody so if you come out and race this Sunday, there is a very good chance we will be engraving your name on it! We really want to get a Sunday of racing in this summer, so come down to the club and help us make it happen. First gun is at 1:30 pm and boats are first come, first serve. We REALLY hope to see you all there!
Prizegiving! Next Friday is our end of the year prize giving ceremony. Join us at the Sturgeon Point Union Church at from 6:30pm to 8pm to help us close the summer sailing season. The AGM will be hosted directly following the ceremony. If you won a trophy last year at prize giving please be sure to drop it off at the club before next Friday, or bring it with you to the church.
