SLSC is pleased to welcome back the Kawartha Lakes Boys and Girls Club and the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kawartha Lakes-Haliburton as enthusiastic participants in our program of outreach to local youth groups. The Boys and Girls Club has expanded its participation this year and has booked 6 Friday afternoon sessions. The Big Brothers and Big Sisters group will be sailing two afternoons over the summer. A great big thanks to Colleen Moloney for organizing the outreach activities and a thanks to our coaches who take on this task of showing these groups the ropes with such enthusiasm and relish. If you are about on an outreach day, drop by the Club to take a peak at the program in operation and watch kids who have had little or no sailing take in our sport with such glee!
