It has come to my attention that I made a big error in this week’s newsletter. I completely forgot to congratulate our Race Team on their amazing job last weekend at the Ontario Summer Games. The Ontario Summer Games brings together top athletes in a variety of sports from across the province. All four boats from our Race Team qualified for the Games at the beginning of the summer by placing in the top 10 at Sarnia Sailfest and they did us very proud once they got there. After 3 days of racing, at Ashbridges Bay Yacht Club in Toronto on Lake Ontario, SLSC came home with Silver and Bronze medals! Congrats to Graeme Shea and John Gilchrist on their Silver medal, and to Jacob Webster and Cameron Devine on their Bronze medal! And, congrats to Madison Kozak, Sara Gilchrist, Michael Robson and Cameron Riegel on a great regatta! We are so proud of all of you!!
