Our First Curriculum Night – This Friday

This Friday (July 10), beginning at 7 pm, will be the first SLSC dance of the new dancing season…for kids of all ages (6 and over).  The theme is pyjamas.

For parents, taking place at the same time as the pyjama dance, will be our first informal ‘Curriculum Night’ where pyjama clad instructors will give a brief description of what they are teaching and what sailors at each of the different levels (and their parents) can expect this summer.

We will talk a little bit about our philosophy as a Club and will take questions.  Wine and beer will be served along with some munchies.

So drop off the kids at the dance and then amble over to the island (on the far side of the lagoon where flag raising takes place) for some chat with your chidrens’ instructors and some refreshments.

Parents are not required to be in their pyjamas, nor will they be required to collapse in a heap during the playing of Rock Lobster up in the clubhouse above!  (although anyone who wishes to be in their pyjamas and to collapse at the appropriate spots is welcome to do so).

For readers of the website, please mention this evening to any other parents who you encounter to make sure they are aware ( I am told that there are still one or two parents that do not have the SLSC website as their homepage).

The Club is off to a good start with a great show of kids.  The directors and instructors look forward to giving you all a report and to answer your questions.

Hugh
