The Club is introducing an exciting new concept for the Sunday Afternoon Race Series this summer. The races will take place in the Club’s 420s and everyone is invited to show up and sail…kids, instructors, alumnae, directors, parents and grandparents. The plan is for everyone and anyone looking to participate to meet at the club on designated Sundays at 12:30 p.m. No need to organize a crew in advance…Boat crews will be worked out at the Club and the fleet more

Going For Gold in 2008: The Sturgeon Lake Sailing Club race team won the Gold Medal in the last Ontario Summer Games held at the Nepean Sailing Club in August 2006. It has now been announced that Ottawa has been awarded the 2008 Ontario summer Games and, as in 2006, Nepean Sailing Club will host the sailing event. A team from SLSC will be back to shoot for Gold in 2008. The 2008 Games will be sailed in 420’s more Reserve the date now for the annual S.L.S.C. Gala event! Saturday August 9th 2008 is when you will be able to experience Mardi Gras in New Orleans without leaving Sturgeon Point! Start looking for your beads and costumes now. Please join us for a wonderful evening including dinner, dancing and a silent auction. Ticket information will be posted soon. Presentation of OSA Title Series awards will take place at the OSA annual Meeting on January 20, 2008. Our race team should mark their calendars.
