The Ontario Sailing Association has posted the results for its Title Event Series 2007 and Sturgeon Lakers have swept the top spots in the 420 class, with Claire DesBrisay and Emily Fleck winning in the 17 & 18 year old class and with Amy DesBrisay and Kate Thomas taking 1st overall in the 16 & under class and the team of Kevin Robson and Ellen Lourie placing 2nd. Congratulations to our sailors and their coach, Murray McCullough. The sailors will receive their awards at the OSA Annual Meeting in January 2008.
Congratulations to the Race Team – this is quite an accomplishment! Although it was not during a major race, I was able to closely observe some incredible 420 racing between the DesBrisay/Fleck and DesBrisay/Thomas teams during the SLSC Civic Holiday regatta this summer and was quite impressed with their racing and boat handling skills.
Great to see that SLSC is keeping up its excellent racing tradition. Kudos to Madge, Murray, all the other Coaches and Instructors, and the racers. Keep up the great work!
