Head Instructor Newsletter: July 12

Welcome to week two at beautiful Sturgeon Lake Sailing Club.  Week one was a resounding success with the silvers and the second year bronze fives hitting up Sail Parry Sound for 4 days of training and regatta’s.  While back at club Kate, Chris, Amy, Ellen, and Ian braved 30 degree plus, weather with the Bronzes, White Sails and Mosquito’s; it was a resounding success.  Dumping day proved adventurous for the white sails and mosquito’s, with many of them dumping for the first time; special thanks to the bronzes for all there help with the younger students.

AHEAD THIS WEEK

This week Ian will head to Steers in Port Credit with the bronze V’s for 2 days of racing, and Evan will follow up this weekend with the Silvers to race at the Four Sisters Regatta.  We wish all the sailors best of luck at these two regatta’s.
